CRIN Magazine

Our magazine series, What Lies Beneath is a conversation on big issues that lie in the shadows and keep us from evolving as a species. Through questions, artwork and our vision for the future, the magazine encourages people to think critically and self reflect on the world we live in and the norms we live by in order to change things for the better.

Protect our planet invention challenge

This collaborative project aims to show that children’s input should be actively sought and listened to on matters that affect their future, particularly on the climate and other environmental issues. Their ideas and passion for protecting our planet can - and should - inspire climate policy makers to take bold action on behalf of children and future generations.

Murals

CRIN has taken part in a number of mural projects in public spaces in London, Palestine and Washington DC with the intention of collaborating with other artists, activists and children, but also to bring our work to street level in an effort to democratise human rights as a responsibility that everyone shares.

Stay-at-home imagination kits

With the spread of Covid-19 keeping many of us and our families at home for extended periods, we’ve put together an assortment of past workshops and activities run by CRIN and partners to help prevent boredom and frustration and instead keep children and adults thinking creatively and critically - as well as entertained and distracted.

Break to Create

You have 60 seconds to break widely-held assumptions about children and young people. Only by breaking them can we create new understanding of the attitudes that control the lives of under-18s. However, if you have 60 minutes, then dig deeper and identify the ordinary qualities and objects in your life that can turn each of us into a children’s rights activist.

Breaktocreate was launched in 2019 as part of ARTIVISM, the first-ever human rights pavilion at the Venice Biennale.

Tate Exchange 2019-2020

In 2019 and 2020, CRIN participated in the annual week-long Tate Exchange event at the Tate Modern in collaboration with the Digital Maker Collective alongside multiple other partners. It brought together tech activists, experts, students, university staff, creatives and the public to explore ideas for making society a better, fairer place.
